PS

It is fair week, yes I said fair week! Something we look forward to all year!! So I went last night to watch the beef show, and to eat of course, with Heather, Ginny, Heather, Kara, and Jess. It was a lot of fun. I had to split up all the things I wanted to eat because we are going back tomorrow so I can eat the rest of the stuff I have been craving all year!
Last night I had, are you ready, beef tips with mashed potatos and mushrooms, ice cream, half of a funnel cake and roasted almonds.
Tomorrow we are going to watch the beef/steer sale and I think we are going to buy half of one again so we can have lots of meat in the freezer. I know it sounds sad, I cry every year when I watch the little girls say goodbye to their steer. But I am also looking forwrd to haveing crab rangoon, a corn dog and maybe tom thumb donuts!!

Not what I should be eating to get ready for a wedding!

Stress

I do not like the stress and pressure of planning my own wedding. I always wanted to be a wedding planner but let me plan someone else's wedding any day, my own, not so much fun!! Too many decisions and of course I think about it all day. Well I have been thinking about my wedding pretty much my whole life but now that I have to actually plan it, oh boy!

My goal for next week is to get the church and reception site booked to make sure I have my date. Then budget and guest list!

And the fun begins...

The Ring

Picture's really don't do it justice!

I dont know why my hands look like I am 80 years old!

How He Did It

I guess I should tell the story about "how he did it".

For those of you that know me know that I love my dog, Duke!! So of course it is perfect that he was involved.

So Friday during the day Justin and I had talked and I suggested we go start over and look at some other places for the ring, mind you this was past the July 21st date. Let me back up. Our good friend Jan (Kara and Travis's mom) works at JR FOX, I had gone to see her and tell her things I liked for rings and diamonds. I kept telling Justin to go see her but wasn't for sure if he did... So Friday we had talked and I said lets go look at some other places to get pricing and see what is out there, he said ok.

I got home friday, waited for Justin to get home, he did, he showered, then he wanted to "relax" before we left so we were watching TV, i decided to go to the bathroom. I heard him take Duke out and thought, ok, he's about ready. Well, while I am in the bathroom Duke comes in with this bow on! I was like, what are you doing. Justin came in and said "What are you doing?" I said "Going to the bathroom!" I hurried up, went out to the kitchen, there was Duke and Justin, Justin on one knee, he took the ring off Dukes neck bow. Of course I cried!

He did really good keeping it a secret and making me think he didnt have a ring!! He did a really good job on the ring too, not what i had picked out but I love it!

So then I started calling everyone, we went to dinner and then we were off to my mom's house so I could show her. Well little did I know all my friends and family were waiting for me at Heather and DJ's to suprise me!! I was so surprised! I cried again!!

It was such a great night being with friends and family

Finally

So Justin finally proposed!! It only took 10 years!! Well, kinda!
I should start with our story...

We started dating in high school, my junior year and his sophomore year, and we dated for about 2 1/2 years. We went to proms together, he moved me to college. Then in college we took a break, a 4 year or so break! Everyone needs that though right?! Then when I was about done with school I moved home to finish and we got back together!! Thanks to DJ and Heather getting married! So, he was with me when I actually graduated college also!! It was so meant to be!

Then we moved in together, got a cat, got a dog...still no ring.

So I gave him a deadline, July 21, 2008, our 4 year (back together) anniversary. As it got closer he asked for an extension...I got the ring on July 25, 2008!!!
